Guidelines for posting member-created information on the NFC Forum public Website
ScopeThis document describes the rules and guidelines for publishing (or linking to) member-created information on the NFC Forum public website. (A) Press ReleasesPress releases will be evaluated on their main message. Secondary messages, including boilerplates, may not exceed 40% of the entire release. For joint press releases from two or more companies, at least one of the companies issuing the press release must be a member in good standing.
(B) WhitepapersWhitepapers and other mainly written materials may be published on, or hyperlinked from, the NFC Forum Website. Materials must be factual and must represent the subject matter in a fair and balanced way. Materials may not contain strong promotional elements. The authorship of the materials must always be obvious and clear to the visitor of the NFC Forum website and the member website. (C) Photos and MultimediaPhotos, videos, animations, etc. shall show products/services where NFC Technology is used, or illustrate end-user/consumer life with NFC. Headers and/or trailers with company logos, names and trademarks are OK. The main content should not be too promotional, and logos or trademarks should be outside of the main focus. Links to resources on member Web sites can be included, provided that links to promotional materials are clearly labelled as promotional. Linked pages may not require visitors to enter any personal information. (D) Brochures/DatasheetsProduct brochures or other company collateral are not allowed. For the use of member-created materials, the following rules apply in addition to the criteria listed above:

If a member agrees that certain member-created content is used as a element in the basic design of the website, such member waives the above-mentioned rights to (i) have his copyright notice included in the final materials and (ii) have the content removed from the website upon request. C. NFC Forum reserves the right to remove the member-created material at any time. Forum staff will determine appropriateness of member contributions and will consult with the Marketing Communication Working Group if questions arise. Reasons for removing member-created content (including links to member-websites) may include, but are not limited to:

All links (hyperlinks) to content on member websites must be deep-links (directly to the page of the respective press release text, article or significant content), and may not be links only to the homepage or to the ‘news’-page of the member. (It is OK to load the normal frameset of the member company website around the deep-linked content.) All links to member websites must open in a new tab or window of the web browser. The authorship of the material must always be obvious and clear to the visitor of the member website (content may not mimic the look and feel of the NFC Forum website or NFC Forum created materials).
