The Technological Park of Andalusia in Malaga, Spain, is the location of the NFC Forum's 10th Plugfest, taking place from 21st to 25th May 2012. AT4 wireless, as one of the leading testing organizations in NFC Forum technology worldwide, has been selected to host this meeting. AT4 wireless has more than 10 years of experience in successfully organizing and hosting interoperability and Plugfest events for several technologies in co-operation with different global organizations. NFC Forum Plugfests promote interoperability of NFC Forum implementations in a neutral and confidential environment. For NFC Forum members only, the Plugfests feature device-to-device interoperability testing, and access to a library of various NFC Forum tags and smart posters. The Plugfests also provide an opportunity to confirm successful interaction of NFC Forum implementations in card emulation mode with existing EMV-based contactless payment acceptance devices. Plugfests are for NFC Forum members who have implemented the NFC Forum specifications in a device and have working samples for testing by the date of the event. The Malaga event will also offer device testing using prototype RF Analog conformance test tools. RF Analog will be the special focus of this event, allowing device and test tool vendors to assess RF implementations and identify any potential problems at an early stage. These on-site interoperability testing meetings complement the NFC Forum's Certification Program, and they constitute a very important cornerstone for industry cooperation and development. This week, more than 20 member companies and over 50 engineers from various countries are expected to participate in the NFC Forum Plugfest in Malaga. AT4 wireless is deeply committed to the success of NFC technology and has been actively participating in the development of the NFC Forum Certification Program since its beginning. This achievement was possible thanks to AT4 wireless RIDER T3111 test system, which is a leading test platform for NFC Forum certification. Its high standards and wide experience in developing cutting-edge technology for its complete range of test systems have allowed AT4 wireless to obtain the NFC Forum's authorization for its test labs in Europe, North America and APAC in order to better serve chipset and device vendors and network carriers in these regions. "Plugfests are an essential component of the NFC Forum's efforts to build the NFC ecosystem and promote global interoperability of NFC solutions," said Debbie Arnold, director of the NFC Forum. "We are deeply grateful to our friends at AT4 Wireless for hosting this popular event for NFC device manufacturers around the world." ***** The NFC Forum's Sponsor members, which hold seats on the Board of Directors, include leading players in key industries around the world.
