What's New at the NFC Forum
NFC Forum Chairman Koichi Tagawa has contributed an article to the recently published volume 2013 NFC & Contactless Mobile and Card Solutions, compiled by Globalsmart Publications. Entitled "NFC: Getting Down to Business," it is available for free download as a PDF file.
In his article, Chairman Tagawa describes how the NFC Forum is expanding efforts to support the implementation of NFC solutions in key vertical industries. He also points out that although there are hundreds of millions of NFC-enabled devices in the market, more NFC services and solutions are needed.
As the number of mobile devices with NFC (near field communication) technology continues to grow, the use of NFC tags in printed marketing campaigns is emerging as a tactic for driving sales, raising brand awareness, and strengthening the value of print in the cross-media world.
