Commercial Track

About the Competition

The NFC Forum Global Competition promotes the development and deployment of innovative and exemplary NFC services by both commercial and academic developers. Entries will be judged on their innovation, commercial potential, and usability, as well as quality of design and implementation. Finalists and winners may look forward to global media coverage, increased awareness among industry leaders and venture capitalists, and opportunities to forge partnerships and share ideas. Twenty finalists will be named; six winners will receive cash prizes.

The competition has two tracks:

Commercial Track: Recognizes the commercial solution judged "The Best NFC Service of the Year 2010".

Prizes

NFC Forum Competition award, a stylized globe

The Judging Committee will evaluate each entry, and 10 finalists in each track will be announced in March. Finalists are invited to present their entries to the judges at the WIMA conference in Monaco on April 21-22, 2010. The judges will then select three winners in each track to receive cash prizes.

1st Place 5,000 Euros
2nd Place 1,500 Euros
3rd Place 1,000 Euros

All six winners will receive a Global Competition trophy and all 20 finalists will receive a certificate of commendation.
