NFC Forum Certification ProgramThe NFC Forum Certification Program provides device manufacturers with a means of establishing that their products conform to the NFC Forum's published specifications. Highlights of the Certification Program
Certification WavesImplementing certification in waves allows the NFC Forum to respond to evolving specifications. The 1st Certification Wave, which was launched in December 2010, includes testing for the lower level digital protocols, specifically tag operations, digital protocol, and activity specifications. The 2nd Certification Wave, scheduled for 2012, adds testing for the physical layer and selected upper level digital protocols, including RF analog and peer-to-peer. NFC Forum N-Mark and Certification MarkView the N-Mark and the Certification Mark. N-Mark for DevicesThe NFC Forum will promote the N-Mark as a universal symbol for NFC.The N-Mark on a device shows that the device has passed certification testing. Once your device is certified, you can use the N-Mark as the touchpoint for NFC interactions on the device. Displaying the N-Mark on products is optional. However, we strongly encourage you to place the N-Mark on your certified devices to indicate where users should touch for NFC services. Guidelines for Using the N-Mark for Devices are bundled with the certification license and can also be can also be downloaded here. Certification MarkDevices that pass certification testing will also receive the NFC Forum Certification Mark as proof of compliance. After your product is certified, the Certification Mark can be used at your discretion on product packaging, websites, sales materials, manuals, etc. to add credibility to your product.
