Ecosystem Committee

The NFC Forum’s Ecosystem Committee is open to participation by Sponsor and Principal Member representatives.
The Ecosystem Committee identifies and educates market players about the use of NFC and promotes the NFC Forum's work. The initial scope of the NFC Forum Ecosystem Committee is:

• Help build the NFC ecosystem.
• Encourage the stakeholders to adopt NFC Forum Specifications and NFC Forum Marks.
• Guide and motivate to build a consistent user experience on top of the NFC Forum work, independent from platforms and devices

The Ecosystem Committee has two Working Groups:
Industry Collaboration and Market Education. Ecosystem Committee Working Group participation is open to all NFC Forum members, with voting rights reserved for designated Sponsor and Principal member representatives, and non-voting status for Associate, Implementer, and Non-profit member representatives.

Industry Collaboration Working Group

The Industry Collaboration Working Group identifies and addresses issues unique to various market segments. The Working Group develops programs internally and with NFC Forum liaison partners to facilitate the adoption of NFC in various industries. It collects feedback from NFC projects, shares best practices with the industry and funnels business requirements into the NFC Forum.

Market Education Working Group

The Market Education Working Group develops programs that educate the market about NFC, the NFC Forum Marks and the NFC Forum. The Working Group sets direction, provides oversight and reviews/approves relevant materials and events. The WG promotes best practices for the NFC user experience.
